KSHV Room Rates: $189.00

All meetings will be held at the New York Marriott East Side. The group rate is available for a limited number of rooms and only for registered participants of KSHV 2019. Rates do not include taxes or breakfast, they do include free WiFi and the Destination Fee of $25 per night plus tax, has been waived from all group bookings. Although the Destination Fee has been waived, it will be show up on your confirmation from the hotel, but its associated charges should be disregarded as it will not calculate into your final bill.

The room block is from June 30 – July 3. As of April 11, there are some rooms now available at the group rate on the 28th and 29th as well as on the 3rd and 4th for anyone wishing to extend their stay, please call the hotel directly at +1 212-755-4000 and request the additional nights (please use the group code Weill Cornell Medicine KSHV Workshop) or book online for the group dates and then call the hotel with your confirmation to extend your stay at the group rate.

Rooms are blocked from Sunday, June 30, 2019 arrival, checkout on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 (there are a small number of rooms reserved post for those wishing to prolong their stays, but they are on a space available basis, please call the hotel to block these additional nights using the meeting code “Weill Cornell Medicine KSHV Workshop.) Rooms on the night of the 29th are still available at the hotel, but at a rate off $349 or more at this time, plus $25 Destination Fee and taxes.

The special discounted KSHV 2019 room rates ($189 plus tax for single or double occupancy) are based on a limited room block, there are no guarantees they will be available until the reservation deadline, please book your room as soon as possible, and please do not hold onto rooms that you will not be using (thereby keeping other participants out of the block).
 

Rooms are blocked from Sunday, June 30, 2019 arrival, checkout on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Rooms are predominantly 1 king bed, rooms with 2 double beds are reserved for trainees who wish to share rooms and cut down on expenses and for participants bringing along their families. Please do not book one of the rooms with

2 double beds unless absolutely necessary. Hotel’s room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 14.75% and $3.50 occupancy tax per night) in effect at the time of check-out. Room rates include complimentary internet access in the Guest Rooms. The Destination Fee is WAIVED for rooms booked in our group block.
There are only a limited number of rooms with 2 double beds which have been set aside for TRAINEES to share with their colleagues, thereby making the meeting more affordable, as well as to participants bringing their families along. The Organizers ask that participants only choose the double-double room if they absolutely need the 2 beds. The alternative for singles or couples, is to book the classic King Bed room.

New York City offers a range of events to celebrate Independence Day on Wednesday, July 4th. For example Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, an old city tradition annually attended by more than 40,000 spectators. Many streets are blocked off from traffic for festivals and parades, and in the evening there will be be the famous Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular from barges in the East River, not far from the hotel.
